The govt food voucher scheme to encourage us to eat out seems like the worst policy ever. On the one hand they say they are focused on reducing obesity amongst the nation and have banned bogof offers and then at the same time encourage us to go out for half price McDonald's, KFC's etc etc.

The virus is getting worse in many countries, we have selected areas back in lockdown and at the same time they want us to go out and crowd into restaurants and pubs to eat!

I'm baffled!
I've booked into The Fountain, The Ivy, Casa Med, Fiesta Del Asado & Mark Hix's resurrected Oyster & Fish House under the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Fantastic value, and if the government is going to rack up debt with it's harebrained schemes we might as well take advantage before they tax us into oblivion.

Hix opened again last week.

Still closed on the website and in administration, shame because I wanted to go down to the coast after a night in the Cotswolds last week.

Not saying you do, you just lack a bit of ability to research it properly though

Today I had a cheese sandwich and a banana while propped up against a boulder in the upper Findhorn Valley.

No state subsidies were involved but there were merlins hunting over the moorland, so we’ll call it a draw. Social distancing (maintaining the 2 kilometre gap) was never an issue.
