We’ve opened talks with Benfica to try and get Krov back on loan this season, with a commitment to buying him if we avoid relegation, according to the E&D.

From the E&D
Good plan.

Does Ken know what he's doing, or will this be a Jenko parting gift? Good plan in theory, whether Benfica will see it in a similar manner remains to be seen.
Reports in Portugal suggesting Benfica saying no to any loan deal and want us to buy him outright this summer.

Think this structure more likely as doesn’t seem to be any other interest.

It depends on the structure. Of course they want paying. Interesting that we are paying for Pereira early (doubtless for a discount), and I think the situation with Krov will be similar, in that the deal will revolve around the financial structure.

Just buy him,  will be a great player for us for the next 5 years.

Class.

I agree. If we can get him for under £7.5m it's well worth it.

Ken's most likely checking down the back of the sofa, as we type.     Rolleyes
The worry is that Benfica have a new coach and might want to take a look at him.  Saying that, dangle a fee in front of them and they'll no doubt bite considering the current financial crisis.

Jenko took the old sofa with him, Ken's been mislead! Smile

Brum Mail half an hour ago are saying we're going for a permanent as Benfica don't want the loan.
