ps bit worrying how their winger skips past Cedric for the 5th!
He's younger, scored more goals, plays in a different position.

There are some similarities. Both started playing wide but have been moved central. Remains to be seen whether Robinson can be as effective, I'd say the chances are slim in the PL.

Way to write off our new man.

Robinson is versatile, pacey, skilful and knows where the net is.

If he’d been brought in as our main prime striker target, you’d have every right to be worried...but as a squad member who genuinely wants to be here, it’s a great signing.

Is Robinson better than Burke? Yes. That's all that matters on this deal.

He's not as good as Watkins, although there are similarities in their style and development.

Is Watkins £25m better than Robinson - no, he's not.
Watkins has yet to play in the Premier League (same as Wesley, Samarata when they were bought)

Exactly. And Grant scored 4 in 13 for Hudds when he was 21.

I've not written him off, I like Robinson. I was just answering the question in the OP.

Watkins was a winger that was moved central by Brentford following the departure of Maupay. It would be interesting to see the results if Robinson were to have a season playing through the middle in our team in the Championship. I'd fancy him to get 15 or so goals.

A prolonged run of games playing as a striker for the first time in his career, coupled with the step up to the PL would put him onto a bit of a hiding to nothing in my view. Ultimately this is why SU were happy enough to ship him out. He's an option and is better than HRK, but he should be used out wide for the most part in a 4-3-3 for best results.
Out wide no, up top probably

I still can’t believe it was a straight swap.  Fantastic piece of business by Dowling.  Pleased we have secured his services as you can tell he enjoyed playing for us, that massive smile he has on his face, going outside the hawthorns to celebrate with fans etc.

I agree Ted, except Sunday, when you would think he would start after his performance against QPR.

If he is to play wide he won't play many games unless maybe Grady is switched to the right.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen Burke smile.  It does make a big difference if people have smiles on their faces.  Krov is another, I'd be absolutely gutted if we don't get him but I think we will.
