The news of the sacking of John Williams and Martin Goodman was a major shock. We look at what this could mean for the Baggies and whether it will make a difference.

Thanks.

Did you think Williams was a cunt out of interest?
Any changes in the boardroom will not (and can't) make any difference to our season thus far.

I would suggest that said changes have been made in insight of us being in the Championship next season.

Giving Pulis a new contract on the back of poor results wouldn’t have helped either.
Knee jerk reaction - back to normal with less money going forward
The Perce in the Telegraph originally stated that the move "didn't appear to be related to the sacking of Pulis", but reflected dissatisfaction with poor decision making and a drift into "an inactive and divisive torpor" or some such words.

Now various medias outlets are stating categorically that Lai was unhappy with the decision to sack Pulis and the subsequent failure to get a "new manager bounce". I wonder if any of these people know what the little fellow is really thinking? The Guardian also laughably praised Pulis' solid if unspectacular results since joining 'Boro. I don't suppose Steve Gibson wants "solid" he wants promotion, but that's another story.

Lai has seen a catalogue of poor decisions over the entire period of Williams' chairmanship. Jenkins is linked with the most successful period in our recent history and the owner must want to recapture that. I quite like the idea of a chairman who asks the manager "what the f*** are you doing?" now and then. I guess Williams wasn't doing that and Pulis wouldn't take it anyway. Pardew might find he needs to explain himself and account for results week by week. No bad thing in our position.

I would suggest that the trapdoor under Pardew is creaking ominously. He was safe while the team who recruited him were in command. There's still time for a change IMO.
I only clicked on this fred because I thought it said bedroom.
