Most on here know my viewpoint on the appalling appointment of BFS so without going over old ground we'll talk about the team selection tonight instead.
We all know that we have a squad that is not good enough for the division, is certainly not good enough to compete with Man City (99 times out of a hundred)  and are defensively as poor as anything I have seen in this division.
Yet BFS picks a team in a structure that would not beat Cheltenham
He puts them out without a defender who. whilst limited. played very well against Wolves and moves O'shea in to the centre, a player who I like but does not convince me as a CB.
Tactically he puts 4 across the back using Furlong in a position we have seen he struggles at and in effect 2 up top who in all sensibility will not touch the ball.
One of those is Grant who he brings straight back from injury and is clearly unfit/out of touch/not good enough. Yet he takes off the other forward who is the only one of the two likely to show anything at all.
He persists in playing Sawyers - (everything has been said that needs to be said about him) alongside Livermore who is similarly regarded.
The selection is completely baffling to anybody but the most stubborn who will continue offer him support to save their own blushes.
There are options to these players and formations but BFS doesn't use them and indeed has sent some of those options out on loan or is about to thus further weakening the already inept squad.

BFS has done nothing to improve those existing players that remain as is evident to us all.
He has plainly made us worse and continues to do so at every opportunity

Laughably I continue to read regularly (several times today even) that his was an ambitious appointment.
Far from it.
It is one of the most desperately ludicrous appointments I have seen - anywhere - and our ownership are getting everything they deserve.
This selection may be more to do with one eye on our next two more important games.

Plus the last two games did show an improvement.
I genuinely think he has rested the likes of Gallagher and Barltey tonight with one eye on Fulham, the Grosicki ommission is a farce and whether you rate him or not it's hard not to feel sorry for the bloke

It's all on Saturday and Tuesday, if we crumble in them we'll do well to get another point
