So now that the expected move of trying to get this European league, which has been in the offing for years, is in flames what can the rest do as the big clubs have never been weaker?

Those of us old enough to recall pre 92 would love to see more equality where people who recall the 70s and 80s saw the likes of Derby, Forest, Ipswich, Southampton, Watford, and us all have great times.

I don't think it's possible to ever go back to that equality of 40 years ago, but surely there must be an opportunity now to get power back.

Those who run the Prem, after this debacle should, in my view, make the TV rights fairer. Have less money for placings in the league and UEFA should also restructure the millions teams get for progress in the Champions League.

I would also suggest a Prem 2 which would take away the fear for those getting relegated and make the step up less for those promoted. After all, by and large, we see the same 6 teams at the top each year and know 1 or 2 of the promoted teams will be relegated.

To add to this, we need a cap on squad numbers and poaching of young players.

it may all be a little idealistic, but the 14 in the Prem should be getting their heads together now for the good of the game.
Would you like parachute payments to be scrapped starting from this season so the championship is fairer next season?

Thought not Big Grin
Derby, Forest, Ipswich, Southampton, Watford...

Compared to Albion, all the above have been basket cases in recent years.

Add many more to the list.

I doubt anything will be changed instantly, but they've got to do something. We are fortunate we've never overspent and that's why we are competitive and Bolton are now where Wolves were under the Bhattis.
No.

Next question...

I admire your optimism Spandau would be great if they could ,but we all know deep down absolutely fugg all will change and the  gap between the big 6 and the rest will get for ever wider ,for the simple reason Uefa and the Prem are terrified of loosing their cash cows.
