Can we just play 4-4-fucking 2. Today we just got totally stuck between defence and attack. When the wing backs went forward they had no one to link with. Brunt was standing in the centre back position so often, that it was impossible for anyone to find an outlet. I really think we are crying out for 4-4-2 with the full backs being supported by the wide players. Brunt is our best crosser of the ball so get him out wide left, Gibbs pace means we don’t have to worry about Brunts.

Johnstone

Holgate
Dawson
Hegazi
Gibbs

Phillips
Livermore
Johannson
Brunt

Gayle
J-Rod

Not hard is it
It just ain't the fashion any more. 442 does for me, all season we've been wanting in midfield and it sorts that out.

It doesn't. Our two in the middle get over-run whenever we play two in there we don't have enough mobility in our central midfield to play 4-4-2.
brunt needs to play in the middle with some legs/youth next to him. He was pulling strings today

We get more overrun with three in midfield and 5 defenders
My major concern is we don't pick up enough if any 2nd/loose balls in midfield it's  been a problem all season no matter who or how many we play there.

...is correct.

Is incorrect. Our wing backs need to be higher up the pitch. Holgate was way too deep all day today. He needed to impose himself on Mattock, it never happened.
