off to Glasgow for a wedding at the weekend but going up a day early to have a nosey around the city.

The university is very impressive and worth a wander round. The current site of Partick cricket ground is where the first ever football international was played in 1872!

The football museum at Hampden Park is excellent, you can see the Renton cup, that we played Renton for in the " championship of the world "
Go to the Blythswood Square Hotel. It's great.

Superb for a night out in Glasgow, lots of great bars and food places.

not wishing to sound like an Alchy but i'll need to try a pint of Heavy so any good SAFE pubs to visit?
I wouldn't suggest making a special effort just to go there, but if you're in the area anyway the architecture of Glasgow Central Station is well worth a look.

yes mate we intend to spend an afternoon/evening ambling around so we may well wander past and take a look.
