Sign him up, obviously got a great engine to still be going that strong.
I would genuinely play Barry over Livermore, if you're playing Sawyers and the Croat chap in the same XI.
Would play Field over both

Me too. Just don't understand the Field situation. Livermore is poor. If a 21 year old performed the way he does everyone would say he's not ready.

Must be unbelievable in training to fool so many head coaches.
Just going back to the OP for a moment, that is a good story. If only we could all find work so fulfilling, and be fit enough to keep doing it.

Although I find (at a mere 63) that I can't fit all my hobbies and domestic tasks into the time available. Going to work is an intrusion on my time rather than a pleasure. Sadly, because I enjoy the work and the money they pay me.
I think with Field going out on loan, he'll be back here on a one year deal as soon as he's fit.

I think you're right.

He's a seasoned pro, who knows at his age he wont get a deal until he can prove his fitness... no doubt we'll have the first option, and if not there'll be no shortage of takers.
Heck if Julian Joachim can make a comeback, then Barry has at least 10 more years in him!
He'll thrive with the likes of Sawyers and Krov next to him. He had some great games last season but there will be more emphasis on controlling the play under Slav so for me Barry would be worth it for another year.
