For the next 30 hours or so can we have an amnesty on the “we’re not signing anyone/Dowling’s fucked this up/penny pinching/they’re all cunts/WAAAH!/burn them all!” nonsense?
Despite what some would have you believe nobody knows what’s going on inside Dowling’s office right now and getting worked up over what someone has posted on Twitter/HITC/heard down the pub isn’t particularly healthy. Bitching and whinging on here won’t make players sign any faster.
Of course if nothing happens and the deadline passes then by all means go nuts, hell, even I’ll join in. But until then let’s try and stay calm eh?
I think it's fine to express concern that we may be rushing things at this point, however the "my milkman reckons Dowling did something to piss off the players we're trying to sign" posts have started already.

Yeah concerns are one thing, but there are a few who seem to have decided that we won’t sign anyone and are waiting to be proven right.

The is it going tits up is the prime example of morose fans. They find the things that go wrong rather than the other way.
All sensible people will save their thoughts until it’s clear that the transfer business is done.
Also I’m so glad it’s such an early deadline this year. The miserable August posts are a drain.
