Assembled a squad where we could select a team of midfield players (inc 6 or more quality wide players) but chronically short of options up front.

Losing in a cup game and your lone forward is Burke ??? Trouble is he also featured on Sat & at no time have we looked remotely like scoring.

Bilic will need to make Burke much more peripheral if he wants to keep fans onside & win games

Crying out tonight to be able to hit a ball or two in the box but we haven’t got anyone who can win anything in the air or win a challenge against the CB

Very short upfront ....depressingly similar in both home games
We all know Burke isnt the answer up front but he isnt a central striker and surely SB knows that now.By the look of what ive seen in the 3 games so far we have some really goodctechnical players who are very quick so hopefully Austin n Zahoore can feed off them but it will take several games for a understanding to develop.
Well I’ve watched two very similar games where we played lots of football across our own half but hardly had a sniff of goal ... I honestly think Burke will need to be binned very quickly by Bilic if we’re looking to have a decent season.

Whilst we had a fairly good transfer window we are another decent striker away from where we should be.

We were short on back up last season and it’s the same again.
I think our play will be suit us playing away from home, we look to play in between the lines and at home, well Millwall twice so far, have gave us no room to do this, Forest did and we moved the ball for fun, and with purpose

My concern is our Plan B at home, or sides taking the lead and inviting us on, we have no target man option and balls into the box will go begging

Cuzer
I think the problem is more than strikers ,in two games the millwall keeper hasn’t had hardly anything to do due to our lack of a cutting edge and poor crossing,we need t up the tempo, our play has been far too languid and comfortable
We've scored in all three games this season. Whilst I am not singing and shouting about how good our attacking options are (they aren't!), our biggest problem right now is our complete inability to defend a set piece or a good ball into our box.
Playing possession football is lovely but teams will simply park the bus against us at home and it’s Bilic’s job to find a solution. The onus is on the plethora of attacking players we now have to choose from to score goals. It’s a bit of an excuse to say because we haven’t got two twenty goals a season strikers that we will struggle to score goals.

Bloody hell ! Common sense does prevail.

Disagree with the League game when Phillips but in a number of dangerous crosses both halves yet no one in the box had an kind of movement or instinct to be on the end of them.
