Morgan can’t play for 5 days, his back is in bits. He really needs the season to finish so he can rest properly.

Root as captain only doesn’t work when the others also fail. The shot from Butler today to get out was mindless.

Root looked like a little boy lost today. His field placings are abysmal, regularly. Not a criticism of Joe, just his captaincy. We've needed one opener for years, now since Cook retired we need 2.

It's almost as if four years of neglect for FC cricket and telling test match batsmen to just go out and play shots isn't conducive to being any fucking good over a five day test. We're getting exactly what we deserve, fair play Australia.
