Appoint Keith Hill who is a safe pair of hands in the lower leagues and working with limited resources.

Their fans aren’t happy saying they wanted Pearson, Hughton, Redknapp, O’Neill or Rowett... one even reckons they should throw money at getting Big Sam back!

Excellent way out of a financial crisis. Throw more money at it. It would be laughable, except it's exactly what villa did.
Always thought the Big Sam years gave them a sense of entitlement. They hammered Megson but Coyle was the real start of the decline

From memory Megson did a good job there.
Meggo managed them in the uefa cup when they got a draw away against Bayern Munich in the mid 2000's

Coyle fucked it - who’d have ever imagined daily games of 5-a-side with the gaffer up top and ping pong tournaments would fail to motivate professional footballers
