Anyone else hear him last night, started his call by saying the decision against Greasy was all wrong because " the fans don't know what's going on in the ground with VAR " VAR wasn't used, Greasy dived, the ref blew his whistle, Palace took a free kick, what part of all this bemused our fishy friends in the ground.
He followed this up with " Look what happened to Bury, if this point dropped because of this decision relegates us, five years from now that could be us because of this " I nearly wiped us out on the M5, I was laughing so much.
I am praying someone else heard it because I am trying to convince myself it's not my imagination.
Just watched MOTD. Ref could have given the foul for a slight push 3 yards outside the box. He didn't. Grealish got into the box, dived. Whistle goes. The fact the ball got netted doesn't matter.
My favourite part was Grealish and Mings combining to allow Ayew to waltz through and score. Dingles lost as well, Albion won. The perfect weekend.
He has nothing to worry about, they will be relegated by more than just one point

The board went down just as I penned a post saying how ballsy a decision it was by Friend seeing the trailing leg thrown into Cahill. Jenas and the other biffs on MOTD completely missed this and it would have been an easy thing for the ref to let play go on and not need to make the decision. It may be a slightly biased point of view (or more than slightly) but I'd always prefer that officials stick to their guns and make a call on such a fabrication rather than not.

Big Grin
I thought it was a foul on Grealish but as the referee didn’t give a penalty, I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t play on and the goal should’ve stood. As the referee saw it as a dive from Grealish though, I understand why the ref blew up for a Palace free kick.

The actual reality though is that it couldn’t have happened to a nicer team

I've watched it back loads of times. Friend blew his whistle a split second before Horihane strikes the ball. I honestly can't see the issue.

Also pausing the replay Cahill pulls his leg away before Greasy dives.

I'm not a big fan of Friend but I honestly think he called it spot on.

Listening to Smith afterwards was priceless. "He was the most fouled player in the Championship and now he's the most fouled player in the Premier league!"

No. He was the biggest diver in the Chump, going down as soon as anyone put their hands on him. Just because the refs bought it doesn't make it right.

I'm pleased a ref stood up too it.

Fucking cheating show pony......

Your sanity is in tact Cornish, I heard the monumental bell-end just before I switched off.
Smith was whinging about Trezeguet’s first yellow on WM. I watched MOTD and couldn’t believe it. A more cast iron pair of yellows you couldn’t wish to see.
