......and we are 8 points better off than last year at this stage. Coincidentally we played away at Hull at exactly the same time last season and put in a woeful show as we had that dip.
In many ways today was a real note of intent. Most of us would have been happy to draw, so winning is super impressive.
We’re looking very strong for the automatic spots.
Only concern is home form not as impressive as it should be, meaning that we have to win away. Some poor draws v average teams. If we sorted that we’d canter the division.
Just hope that we can get back to winning ways at home v Wednesday and have 3 successive wins.
Very good times.
Hull’s last 3 are wins at Forest, Fulham and a home win vs Derby. They were second in the form league for the previous 8 matches.

Having lost here last season, that was a massive win.
2 tough home games coming up. Carry on as we are and invest in a Gayle type striker in January and I would be surprised not to see us in the top 2 in May.

Next 4 games:

Sheffield Wednesday (h)
Bristol City (h)
Preston (a)
Swansea (a)

While I'm hoping we win every match (and think we can), 7-8 points would still be a good haul and likely keep us at least top 2 approaching the half-season mark.

I’d be astounded...

Frankly Bilic is quite simply a much better manager than Dave and we’d have been quite a few points better off last season with him in charge.

With that squad last year and Slav in charge we’d have gone up automatically.

I think our squad is better this year tbh.
Agree Dumbo. It’s a better squad but worse strike force. The midfield is particularly strong.

Very tough 4 games. 8 points from those 4 and we're still on track for 2 points a game.
