Full Version: After thought, yesterdays 3-5-2 is growing on me

Bilik switched to a 3-5-2 when Austin came on, and it was a stroke of brilliance obviously. At first I was unsure, but after giving it some thought it may really work for us a base. As long as Ajayi/Bartley/Ferguson (with Hegazi too) can handle it, this makes a lot of sense. We still have Sawyers and Livermore supporting them, and it gets us Austin on the pitch in place of someone like Phillips, Furlong, or Dianagana's replacement (like Edwards). I would much rather see Austin up top with HRK. With a full squad, the attack of Austin, HRK, Peirerra, Diangana, and pick your other favorite winger, looks good to me (again as long as we can play solid in the back). I'm hoping we see this again next match
When we play Furlong it's like having an extra winger anyway, he's so far up the pitch

If we can get HRK and Austin on the pitch together - and now have the opportunity with Diangana's injury - Austin is likely to score more goals. He can't really play in a 4-5-1 - hasn't got the legs.
