Massive increases announced from BG again today.

When do we Take Back Control of one of the countries key basic needs ????
Privatisation inevitably keeps prices low.
2017/2018 will be the new winter of discontent.

Lol

Not really for full privatisation but a control policy around our key national 'drivers'.

With rampant foreign corporate entities (mainly European ironically), its laughable to think that UK will take control !!!
I'm delighted that British Gas chief executive Iain Conn's pay rose by about 40% to £4.1m last year.

Mayhem promised to cap energy prices but forgot to put it in the Queens Speech!

You have to feel sorry for those gullible enough to have believed her !
Possibly because an energy price cap is daft idea. Not as daft as lining country landowners pockets with subsidies to ruin the countryside with wind and solar farms though or letting the French government build a Chinese funded white elephant.

There is no market in energy. Successive governments has seen to that with subsidy, planning control and the emergence of oligopoly.
In what way does wind and solar ruin the countryside?

Your aesthetic taste is clearly different to mine.

There's a timely article in yesterday's Times illustrating why we pay so much for our energy:

I was really just wondering if you meant the view. I genuinely dont think solar panels or turbines ruin the view. But as you say, subjective viewpoint.
