Seeing Bond tonight made me grateful for Johnstone.

Sam @ Swansea 100%
But what should be remembered when scoring points, slagging one doesn't make the other any better.

The inevitable thread.
Did Bond do anything tonight that Johnstone hasn't done this season in a game? Has Johnstone fumbled? Yes. Has he parried and the other team scored? Yes. Erm not quite sure what point this proves really.

Johnstone is our number one and Bond is our back up. I've said it countless times before but Sam is just a decent championship keeper. Nothing more, nothing less imo. Bond is a decent back up to a decent keeper as he has proved in the Cup run this season when not being afforded the luxury of playing behind our first choice defence.

Sam to play at Swansea.

Yawn..Bond made a number of good saves and from where I was sitting in the ground could do little for any of the goals.

Give the guy 80 odd consecutive matches and see what you get. With Johnstone we know what - a good shot stopper when not having to think. As soon as a decision is required he's average. I don't mind average but not at £8m. Zohore is also average at £8m so at both ends of the pitch we've spunked 1 Olly Burke on dross.
Johnstone is a half decent keeper. Part of his problem is having to follow arguably our best ever keeper (Foster). He's not great at commanding his box but overall is not a bad keeper at all.
