Has been back at The Hawthorns this week and is doing some radio on BBC World Service today between 5-6pm. His twitter shows he will be discussing the Albion and the cost of fans attending games.
He also puts his cards on the table that he would love to be involved at the Albion.

Kids conceded a late equaliser in the cup against a shitbag team and then lost on pens. Gutted.

I found this such a powerful image. The colour makes such a difference. That could be one of my students.

Very interesting article as well.

  Qualifying For Europe (1970’s style)
Posted by: Juan Quidonqui - Yesterday, 11:53 PM - Forum: WBAunofficial - Replies (3)

Stumbled across some odd trivia tonight which I’d never heard before. Back in 1973 (another year when we got relegated), Arsenal finished 2nd but weren’t allowed to qualify for the UEFA cup as Tottenham had already qualified by winning the League Cup and the rules at the time only allowed one team from each city to qualify.

Just made me think how the Premier League would be more interesting if they’d kept a rule like that in place. With only one each of the London/Manchester/Liverpool clubs being allowed to qualify there would be a Champions League place up for grabs each year for a club outside the usual big 6.

Of course the mega rich big clubs and the TV companies would make sure no such rule could exist now to spoil their fun and the way our season has gone we’re more likely to be planning trips to the New Meadow than the Nou Camp, but it certainly would have given us a bit more to play for in the last few seasons.

Jenkins seriously impressed according to the Perce. Did a fantastic job at Oxford but that's the only job he's done a good job at and it wasn't at that high a level, mind you he didn't have the best of circumstances to work with at Blackpool, Blackburn and Pompey.

It’s taken me 36 years to see our semi final defeat v QPR
Posted by: spandaubaggie - Yesterday, 06:40 PM - Forum: WBAunofficial - Replies (24)

I’ve just seen the highlights on YouTube and we didn’t even have a chance on goal .
When it happened I was an underage drinker who chose the lure of the Cock & Magpies on the Hagley Rd that night instead. It was 2 years before we got a video and I was so flat after losing I had to get the beer to help. 78 was gutting as a 13 year old, but with my New Romantic flick and the distraction of young ladies and the sounds of Haircut 100 and Japan blasting out of my local, I was more resilient.
Never thought I’d be 52 before I see that game and that all these years later I’ve still never seen us get to a final.
