Knocking on the door of the most improved playeer.
Not hard I know but after seeing so many poor games from him last season and at the start of this one, since his return 5 or 6 games back he has been consistent and solid.
We need to keep him for next season in the Champs.

It also helps when he knows his job is to defend, first and last. Not expected to dribble out of defence or receive the ball in his own area with 2 men on him.

Shows what having a manager who knows how to set a side up to defend can work wonders for a player like Bartley.
I don’t want Sam here next season if/when we drop, but I do think much like Clark Benefitted from the organisation Hodgson left behind, whoever comes in will have some benefits from Sam.
O’Shea looked much better too today... hopefully this is the end of his right back experiment.

I would agree with both. He's our captain now.

Shows what a good defensive coach can do. His concentration levels seem higher.
I’ve not been his biggest fan but this season he has won me over. Agree that he should be Captain.
