Don’t rate Townsend personally. Gibbs a massive miss

Gibbs is a far better player than Townsend, but I think CT fits us better than KG at the moment. CT is a little more defensive oriented and will tuck in to the back 3 in the way Ferguson does. Not sure I like the idea of Gibbs on the edge of our box defending... I can see him and Furlong both bombing forward at every opportunity and that'll leave us extremely exposed.

CT is a better fullback IMO, Gibbs is far more of a wingback.
Wouldn't disagree.

Townsend is a competent Chump defender.

Would hope the likes of Townsend, O`Shea etc will improve under Bilic.

Townsend was excellent game before last. By far and away his best performance.

Just hope that he is fully fit. At times he looked laboured last term, which is understandable given his age.
