Think he’s a plank for thinking he could do this and not expect a backlash. A WhatsApp chat with a handful of mates could be interpreted as something that was leaked and you could have an argument for sympathy, but this is just being thick.

Its a horrific thing full stop. Im saying its not uniquely male on female, which it isnt. In fact, more women admit to having used physical violence against males than having experienced it themselves. Your point about the number of women that die at the hands of male partners is horrebdous. Just shows its an issue that should be taken really seriously and portrayed as offender vs victim, not men v women.

If you view domestic violence as only being defined by murder you might have a point. I dont know anyone who does define it like that.

Mankind has far less funding in both a statutory and non-statutory manner than Womens Aid and so lacks the same reach.

Ive no idea how you would suggest it isnt an issue that affects men when you can see it clearly does. Exactly the kind of attitude that perpetuates the experiences men have when they cant get it taken seriously. It isnt a solely male on female issue, simple as that. Surely anyone who cares about it would care about every victim, not those theyve deemed worthy of classification?

Here is the CPS view by the way. Perhaps you could write to them and let them know they've got it wrong?
