Frankie Randall (The surgeon)

The name will be familiar to boxing fans who remember the early 90s period. Passed away earlier today aged 59.

Probably best known for being the first man to beat Julio Cesar Chavez as a professional: January 1994 - Chavez came into the fight with eighty nine wins and one draw from ninety fights. Like a good many, he went on too long; lost eighteen fights as a pro - including thirteen of his last sixteen. A combination of Parkinsons and Dementia believed to be the causes.
