Far too many fans seem to be revelling in slating Burke.

I said at the time I felt Celtic was entirely the wrong move for him as he’s a player that’s suffering from a lack of confidence and under the expectations of his massive fee. He really needed to go somewhere an get some game time without pressure to see if he can rediscover the spark that convinced us and RBL to part with £15m.

He’s fast as fuck, he’s strong and he’s direct... he shouldn’t be starting games, but as an impact sub it doesn’t matter if he’s brain dead as long as he can get to the byline and get a ball in. Sending him to 60k crowds and expecting him to start games was another bad decision in our catalogue of mishandling young players.

Given we’ll be lucky to recoup even 10% of what we paid for him, and given that we have a distinct lack of options in our side, I’d give him a chance on the bench next season. He’s a better player then Leko, and more direct than HRK.

He's absolutely not a better player than Leko on the flank.

I for one am not judging leko in his cameo as a CF against two very good Villa defenders, while we had 10 men.

They’ve both had enough chances under many different managers, both at this club and others, and have made no impact anywhere (Forest excepting for Burke). All those managers cannot be collectively wrong.

Seriously, we are stuck with them. Pulis gave HRK an extended contract a couple of years ago, at least a year left on it. No club that would want him, ( Walsall, Rotherham, Shrewsbury etc) could pay what he is on here. He will stay.
Burke, can`t see anybody wanting him, we are still paying instalments for his transfer fee I would think. Hopefully, a new manager might be able to get something out of him, won`t hold my breath but pre- season may be interesting.
