So just to summarise.

Austin was last out injured in March 2018 - 18 months ago.

Austin has scored 1 in 5 in the Prem for a struggling team. Dwight Gayle scored similar 1 in 4.5 for Newcastle in the Prem.

Whilst in the Championship Austin has (in the past admittedly) managed 1 in 2.  Gayle was about 1 in 1.5

In conclusion not quite Gayle (but Newcastle aren't letting us have him so what the fuck do you want them do to about it?) but does seem to know where the goal is and probably has a point to prove (IE he's not finished).
