A slight slowdown in the decrease this week but with numbers being so small that isn't a surprise - 12% reduction in numbers and still falling so heading in the right direction.
On the vaccinations front just short of 36M adults (68%) have had their 1st dose and just short of 19M (36%) have had both. Average daily vaccinations is around half a million and they are now taking bookings for those in their late 30s.
The data on the gov website is also giving regional information now with the Midlands having been pretty static for numbers in hospital for a week but dropping more today. Other regions are as follows:
East of England: Reducing numbers with 63 in hospital as of today
London: Pretty static numbers around 275 with a slight dip today (266)
Midlands: Static around 185 with a dip today (157)
North East and Yorkshire: Reducing numbers with 132 as of today
North West: Reducing numbers with 152 today
South East: Static around 60 (58 today)
South West: Reducing with 17 today
Overall all regions are showing reducing numbers even where they are small reductions. Good news all around.
