Disappointing to lose Hegazi,so I thought I’d look through this season’s stats and was quite shocked :

Ajayi/Bartley P29 W 16 D 12 L 1

Ajayi/Hegazi P 7 W 2 D 2 L 3

Bartley/ Hegazi. P 5 W 3 D 0 L 2

Ajayi and Bartley seem to be the strongest partnership. Hegazi has played in 12 and we’ve lost 5 of those.

Any chance Hegazi can have a 3 game ban??

Or 5! I was shocked,because I think he’s a very good player ,but the stats show we seem to be better with the other two.

1 defeat with the Bartley / Ajayi partnership and only 6 league defeats in total - three less than any other team.
Stats don’t guarantee anything, but those are mighty reassuring.

Interesting, but imagine the stats don’t tell the full story.

I’d argue we’ve concede fewer goals with Hegazi in the side... his return just coincided with that run of games where we seemed unable to score.
