Sturridge

We know we'll need a striker in the premier League.
So does everyone else, always.
So where do we find one we can afford?
Sturridge is out of contract, so it's only wages.
He's a local lad (wasn't that partly why he came to us on loan?).
He'll be 31 in September. I don't think a big club would come in for him now.
I'd be very tempted, provided he really wants it (unlike some of our big knobs failures).
And unless there's a hidden Croatian we may be tracking, he seems to me to be a good bet....
So does he fit the bill?

That hydropool won't fill itself!
In the form of his life.

After his contribution to our last survival attempt I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole.

Over 30, massive wages, seriously shaky injury record.... no thanks.

This has to be a wind up?

I’d wait to see if we get there first.

Not at all.
He was playing regularly in Turkey.
He's class.
I accept he's injury prone.
Suggest an alternative?

If we go up and Fulham don't I'd be all over Mitrovic.
In the form of his life.

16 appearances in Turkey before being sacked and banned for involvement in a dodgy betting scam.

Another reason to stay the fuck away.

Would rather sign Dean Sturridge.

somebody posted on here when he was with us, that his historical scoring record worked out at about £405,000 per goal throughout his career, due to him drawing £200,000 per week, and playing about five games per season.
