I can relate to that, as per Superstitions thread last week. If I can't watch a game either in person or via TV or stream, I avoid a match completely until it's finished, preferably until I can view highlights.

And yes, it is a nice story. Always touching when a family try to preserve traditions in memory of a loved one, no matter how trivial or peculiar.

I watched the Fulham and Huddersfield matches hours late, not knowing the score.

All a bit surreal, but I benefited from less post-Huddersfield moping time and then watched Stoke live.
