The Smothers Brothers - ace
#1
After nearly 62 years of existence, for the first time this week I happened across footage of the Smothers Brothers in a guest slot with Jack Benny.

How in God's name did I not know of the Smothers Brothers??   They are brilliant, decent and blew up Keith Moon.  Just google "Boil That Cabbage Down" and do yourselves a favour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn-eOvqWO7I And the documentary "Smothered".  Blimey.

I've got two favourite track threads I want to post: OMD and Donovan (Philips Leitch, that is, not Jason). Or Kevin.

Trouble is I'm never awake late/early enough.

You are right, I must have missed it.

Catch the wind would have been my choice.

Thanks Napster.  The Smothers are ace.  Looked "square" but really funny and their show was subversive and had guests such as The Who, Hendrix, Donovan, The Beatles (premiered Hey Jude as a proto vid), George Harrison, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger (who had been blacklisted and performed Waist Deep In The Big Muddy).  And I only just found out.  Now all you ignorant fuggers have.
