We were told by Huddersfield fans that Grant was only any good in the opposition box. Not for lack of trying, but if he doesn't score, he adds nothing to the team.

Reminds me of Earnie in that respect
I suspect he'll score a few for us next season in the Chump.

Earnie was much busier outside the box.  Mind, anything could happen if he got a pass or tried a pass. The Goofy Zambian alien AH! AH! AH!

Coming on as a sub, with 26 minutes left, for a bottom 3 team, away from home, in the Prem, and scoring a hat trick...

What a day that was!!!

At he very least he needed a Deeney alongside him.

Grant is a dreadful player.

Not dreadful.

He's a very sharp finisher and a pain in the opposition box. Offers nothing else and therefore exactly the player we don't need. Last season he'd have scored 20 goals at least with us.

Is it beyond the realms of possibility that we have always had one eye in next years promotion push?

We always knew our budget would be tight. But then with covid its almost impossible for us to compete. The signings we made, on the contracts we gave out point to at the above.

Is our real target to compete in the 2022/23 EPL season?

One of my customers is a Huddersfield ST holder.
I've seen him a couple of times since we signed Grant, and he always has a smirk on his face when asking how he is doing, then commenting how they have turned us over with the deal !!
