This.

We had a very solid core... yes we’d strengthened terribly that summer, and pretty much offloaded them all the following summer, but we had a decent core.

Lescott and Gards the only signings I remember having any impact really.

Brunt Yacob Mulumbu Gards
Morrison
Berahino

And still had the likes of Sess, Dorrans, Ideye, SicVic etc... before Pulis added Fletcher
