Who knew that a Bilic team couldn’t defend and weren’t that organised? Flip flopping between a pragmatic manager and the likes of Mowbray and Bilic it seems for nearly twenty years. As a self sufficient club we will never be able to go toe to toe with the minted clubs so this should always be factored into the appointment of a manager be it fighting to get out the Championship or staying in the Prem.

Which is why Roy fitted like a glove and in some respects so did Clarke.

WBA needs a functional manager/coach that provides a firm foundation to go to big clubs and be hard to beat.  Lose most, draw a couple and pick up the odd win... BUT make home a place that’s capable of picking up 25-30 points a season.  Do that you survive. 

Take on the big boys with expansive football pleasing on the eye you get battered home and away.

There is a balance to be had. Nobody wants to watch dinosaurs like Pulis and Big Sam put ten men behind the ball and hit it long.

It’s either Pulis or Big Sam or open expansive football where we get beat every week. There is nothing in between its like Hodgson never existed.

So bizarre.

Dyche is the new Hodgson for me. Working miracles.

Big Sam ain’t much different to Roy.  People are so blinkered.
