Bilics' dismissal was made face to face and, from all reports, was a very amicable parting of the ways. I would assume he was thanked personally rather than in some bland written statement.

Slightly off topic some of the angst aimed at the club on here about the seemingly awful way it was handled is just that ...crap. The general consensus is that the leak to the media came from a disgruntled applicant or his agent and not from the board. If that happens to be Mark Hughes' camp then thankfully the one good thing to come out of it is that he has burned his bridges with our club, and perhaps, plenty more. It's a very childish show of petulance.

Slightly off topic, we all are thankful for what Slav brought to this club, but the last 12 months have been horrible watching.

As for FS taking the reins, we all lauded the performance put in against City to earn that point. It was a fantastic rearguard action against a team vastly superior to us and who, on another day, would have won comfortably. I think we are all rightly pleased with how the match panned out. This is exactly what FS will bring to the team, if the past is anything to go by. We should not lambast FS tactics if they produce more performances like that. if it's good enough with Slav it's good enough with FS.
