Just watching Chelsea v Man City.

0-2, absolutely brilliant.

Like men against boys. City's passing today is outstanding.

Not looking good for Frank.

Yup - Frank hasn’t done a great job there.

He didn’t have a transfer ban, he was able to bring in Kovacevic and they had Pulisic already signed. Add into that he had Abraham, Mount and Tomori to bring in as well as a host of overseas loans and he was hardly hampered by a summer without spending big.

This summer he spent £200m - mostly strengthening the same position - and hasn’t been able to find his best formation/system. To have spent what he did on Haivertz and Ziyatch when he had Mount, Hudson-Odoi already.... it’d be like a newly promoted side spending all its money on left wingers when it needed a defensive midfielder

0-3 getting slaughtered, be very surprised if he survives this.

Bielsa with that Chelsea squad would be fantastic to watch...

There were banned from signing players in his first season - they managed to get Pulisic sealed before the ban came in and I think because they had agreed a loan to buy deal for Kovacic it was allowed. They couldn’t sign anyone else though. He did well in his first season to get them top four.

No excuses this year though, as you say they’ve spent a lot of money and have arguably gone backwards.

For a team with so many fast players it’s remarkable how one paced Chelsea look when they attack.

Last season out of 16 matches they fell behind in they went on to lose whole 12 of those. A decent indicator of how good your in play management is. Think alarm's started ringing then.
