I don't think Chippy had any links with West Ham, other than scoring against them
I though that when I saw it posted Ray. West Ham had a ' Clive Clark' but that's been in the last 15 years or so

Chippy Clark has no links with West Ham.

Steve Clarke was assistant manager there though.

My first ever Albion hero. Chippy crosses, The King nods it in. Easy.
One of mine too. Terrific winger, scored loads too.
Great performances v W Ham in the 2 legs league cup final I remember fondly.
When it counted... and when we were good!

I've got a programme from Tuesday evening's game and in the back, there's a regular feature called "My Dream Teammates". Every game, they pick someone with links to both clubs and ask them to assemble a team of players they played with from the featured teams.

Tuesday evenings featured David Cross. His XI were:
GK. Phil Parkes
RB. Ray Stewart
CB. Billy Bonds
CB. Alvin Martin
LB. Derek Statham
CM. Trevor Brooking
CM. Johnny Giles
RW. Len Cantello
LW. Alan Devonshire
CF. Cyrille Regis
CF. Laurie Cunningham

Subs: Stuart Pearson, Bryan Robson, Bryan Robson (both West Ham's and Baggies' versions), John Wile, Tony Brown.

No disrespect, but bloody hell that selection is on a different level to Cross.

Bomber and Robson on the bench. Blimey O'Reilly.

Bloody Hell! Just seen this, can't let it go!  How could you leave Bomber and Robbo out? Devonshire FFS.
