Because getting to the final was the goal, the losing in the semi to a team we could have beaten was always the way it would end. I was quite accepting at the end probably because of all the nearly moments - I actually got more emotional after the Sweden game when I allowed that "maybe this could happen" to slip into the mentality.

Similar age, and I'm fed up of always losing semis.

I have some little blue pills that tend to do the trick for me if you'd like some.

Ok so I've seen a few promotions, but nothing major. I'm beginning to think I will never see West Brom or England win anything in my lifetime. This is what makes West Brom's recent attitude to cups so galling.

This. Though I do remember the 68 final from a five year old's perspective it's just too long to have no memory of a major final victory by either your club or your country, and the clock's ticking.

I'm seriously overdrawn. A quick deposit might help though.

Over the counter or via a 'hole-in-the-wall'?

Call me old-fashioned but I still prefer to deposit my wad in an envelope although the internet certainly helps.

But these days less and less currency is being physically exchanged. We live in a digital age.

I think the England team flattered to deceive. Great organisation only takes you so far and then the weaknesses of individuals kicks in. I have never rated Walker and his showing on the big stage exposed him for what he is, ordinary.
Saying that we should have beaten Croatia, not by any means worthy of. World Cup final. When you see the players Belgium has and look at our team, besides Kane non really World Class, good journeyman.
I think overall we did better then we could have hoped, but yes there was that feeling of inevitability about the whole thing. I was watching the game over lunch in Lima and walked away after 10 minutes of the second half, I knew what was going to happen.
