Who needs a middle order when you have Sam Curran?

Great effort from Curran, had a feeling it might be our day with all the catches India dropped. Oh well.

Brilliant effort from a few players once again. Shame there are still a few letting the side down.

Some incredibly bad drops - esp from Pandya who is a top fielder. Chris Adamson would have caught em

Though SC would finish the job tbf - India did well to regroup and deliver those last 8 balls

Excellent innings by Dam, but turned down 8-9 singles when Wood can clearly bat, probably cost the game? Together they win the game.

Tremendous effort by Curran and the batsmen who supported him. But three of the four "big guns" failed. If your only plan is to blow the opposition away in the first 15 overs, you have to hope the middle and lower order can see you through. I thought Roy's start was ridiculous - then if ever there was a day for Bairstow to just catch his breath and play himself in, it was today. So the openers only faced 10 balls between them. Sometimes our greatest strength is also our Achilles heel. A lot to learn from the Indians, who have a plan for scoring rate and adjust their risk-taking accordingly.

A mention also for Mark Wood, who was courageous in the face of illness. He and Curran deserved the win they nearly achieved.

Smile Great knock by him, so very nearly got us over the line.

We kept losing wickets at crucial moments, and it cost us in the end.
