Agree... hasn’t worked when they’ve played together before, and certainly not needed against this opposition.

Commentators consistently moaning about how Pope struggles with distribution and how it’s impacting our style of play.... if only we had a goalie on the bench who could play that role........

Seems so far to be a reasonable away performance .

One up at half time  against a team who were defending well and keeping a good shape.

There are never any guarantees in football, but England are in a very strong position to win the game, and that's  what matters.

Albania made it difficult , but if it was easy would it be worth it.

Yup.

Albania a well drilled and well organised side who’ve been playing the catenaccio very successfully over the last decade, with many of their players playing in Italy and their coaches consistently being Serie A stalwarts.

Very beatable opppsition, but they’re rarely outclassed and are more than capable of pulling a draw out of games against much bigger sides.
