In all most of my footwear barely sees light of day as I work from home.

Skechers are trainers.

Mine are more like boat shoes.

Anyhow, I'm very light on shoes- currently back in my slippers after putting on some croc style things to get in the car to get the kids.

In Hudds style, but embellished.

1 pair Bertie black posh shoes- (funerals and posh meetings)
1 pair fancy black boots Clarks- but posh anyhow (nice pubs/meals in gastro places)
1 pair brown Timberland boots (generally in winter/ pubs also- lot of wear)
1 pair brown Sketcher boating shoes (summer generally)
1 pair black Sketcher casual shoes, some may call them trainers. Duffers would- (pub sometimes/ generally on my feet a heap).
1 pair Karrimor (heavy duty recently purchased) walking boots- (use for taking the dog out only)
1 pair blue suede, with brown trim, smart shoes.(very smart but wear them rarely)
1 pair leather Jesus sandals, (only seen on holiday, or when its 30 degrees here).
1 pair wellies(see dog reference)
1 pair Adidas running trainers(for running and gym).
1 pair HiTec squash trainers (not worn for about 10 years)
1 pair croc style Lakeland garden shoes in green (an affront to taste, but for emptying bins and driving to get kids when no one will see me in them)

Makes me realise how little I wear many of them.

If you were dressing up to go for a night out, what would be your choice of footwear? Trainers or shoes?

About 6 pairs of shoes/boots.    Only bought one pair in the last 5 years, have always bought expensive shoes (but nearly always in the sale or massively discounted) which last for years and I look after them.  Tend to live in boots including my walking boots.  I did treat myself to a pair of Sendra Western boots during lock-down about a year ago - yet to wear them.

I pair of Brown and Gold Diesel trainers.

Definitely boots/shoes on a night out.  It's probably a generation thing.. to an extent?
