Didn't know the BioNTech vaccine was already approved for 16 and 17 year olds. Not surprising that it's been lowered given the data from the US on the same vaccine.

Anyone know whether we're getting vaccines from the BioNTech Alliance that is behind the vaccine surge in the EU or are we are still just getting it from Pfizer?

Benefits outweigh the risks they say. Exactly what is the risk for children? It must be ridiculously small.

You need to vaccinate down to this age level to achieve herd immunity.

If all the selfish cunts who have refused the jab had taken it, you wouldn't need to.

75% as a minimum of the population needs to be vaccinated for herd immunity, 21% of the UK population is under 18.

There a lot of vulnerable children with numerous high risk conditions that are currently trapped in shielding alongside their families because they can’t have the vaccine. Let’s not forget about them.

Of death true, but there is an expanding picture of long covid issues in children that is becoming more apparent. As with everything with covid, there is a steep learning curve on this and as time goes on we are learning more. The view that only the over 50s are vulnerable is missing a few words, the over 50s are more likely to be vulnerable to death, the wider health implications of this are only starting to emerge.

And then there’s the mental health effects of prolonged isolation from peers, missed school etc
