Why on earth would the club accept £22m though? This is a player who has proved this season he is capable of excelling at the high level despite playing in a dismal side. In terms of fees the bar has been set by the transfers of Buendia and Benhrama. Neither have done anything much in their spells in the Premier League yet both commanded fees of £30m plus. Only an idiot would accept a similar fee or less for a clearly better player.

Unless he has some kind of clause in his contract then I think we are looking at very high fee here to get us to sell.

Oh I totally agree, anything under £35m and questions need to be asked. For me he's the best player we've had in at least 20 years, and more likely 30...

It all comes down to whether or not those in charge can hold out and do a Peace or just see the easy money.
