Spot on, for all those who said far to many better keepers were in front of him. He has no chance of playing
for England. Never say never. Well deserved IMO the PL suits his game no end though.

What a random stat, I can only think of Carson, Foster and Johnstone though. Kirkland got his England cap after he joined Wigan and obviously Osborne, Godden and Sanders never got called up.

Edit: One of them is Harold Pearson in 1932. So there's just the three mystery keepers.
