Don't buy this. Arsenal were still imploding when he was there, it took a massive rebuild under Arteta to get them back to being a big club in reality not just reputation.

Emery will get his chance again, and knowing Villa they'll strike lucky with the replacement.

History shows he did well at Arsenal, but the common theme at both PSG and Arsenal was problems with big players and style of football. Emery is an excellent manager at making existing players better and building them into an over performing unit - but it’s not particularly great to watch. 

Despite their success, there are more than just a handful of idiots at Seal Park bemoaning their style and after a couple defeats earlier this season  there were people calling for him to go so…
