Not seen them since the 90's where I saw them lots. Always a good live band. Danny's voice was never the best but the wrote some great tunes.

+1

I might go see them on this tour

Engine Rooms, Southampton 25/11. Will see if my daughter fancies going to either Brighton where she'll be at uni later this year or Shepherd's Bush Empire.

Might go to that myself. Go to the engine rooms a lot as I'm in Poole. Seen Idlewild and Ride there in recent times.

Wellers at the lighthouse in Oct.
Warm up in the Nelly Big Grin

I saw The Jam at the art centre in Poole in 1980.  Is that place still open?  I think it’s capacity was around 3,000.

Still going. Called the light house now. Has, or at least had, a bouncy floor which made gigs there brilliant. Saw all the indie bands there from 1990 onwards. Not seen anyone there in years. Last one was Oasis in a pre glasto warm up in the noughties.

Some great tunes, sadly let down by Danny's voice.

I liked them at the time. Sometimes the material hung Danny out to dry a bit - Come Back To What You Know is a great example. They could have played the stuff in an easier key for him imo.

One of the original emo bands and the precourser to Fugazi.
