The worst refereeing decision of the modern era ??
#1
Taylor yesterday, Spurs v Chelsea. A tackle by the Spurs keeper, straight out of the WWF handbook, and that clown Taylor's original decision ? a free kick for Spurs. To be fair, Taylor was 15 yards away from it !, what a twat that bloke is ! Elite referee ? My arse!

Modern era?  Tongue

One that comes to mind was in the Croatia v Denmark World Cup match last year. Denmark player scythes down the Croatia player from behind as he was about to tap into a gaping, empty net from close range in the final minutes to likely win them the game. The ref only gives the Denmark player a yellow when it should have definitely have been a red and Croatia then miss the penalty. If Croatia hadn't gone on to win the tie on penalties it would have been a travesty.

Go to 4.15 for the incident:

Our own Gmac red carded instead of Dawon against MC
And Gibbs red carded when playing for Arsenal v Chelea Oxlade-Chamberlin was the offending player.
