£70k a week plus a £2m loan fee?  For 20 games (if fit) plus potential play-offs?  That’s about £170k per game if he plays every game.   Utter madness to pay that !

When the prize is as big as it is, for Leeds it’s a worthwhile gamble. 

They’ll have to sell players if they don’t get up this season, so they can afford to take the punt.

Their chances created to goals scored is amongst the lowest in the division, Gray is a proven, top quality goal scorer at this level who will up that.

To be fair if we pay 1.5 million for Diangana to stay until the end of the season that works out at around 100k per game with wages. Everything seems worse in this context!

3.4m (fee and wages) for  Gray until the end of the season sounds like a good deal to me

I wouldn’t recommend working out how much Krychowiak cost us per game....
