Sawyers.

Showed yesterday how much we we miss Sawyers, with Livermore having to play deeper because Harper cannot play the passing role, it takes away Livermore’s ability to break forward and get around the pitch. Sawyers playing deeper and his great passing ability is badly missed. We don’t realise how good he is till he is not there. Very welcome back next Saturday. Also as well as Townsend has played if Gibbs plays and comes though the Newcastle match I would be tempted to bring him back against Swansea.

Is have brought Barry on early first half and pushed Livermore up with Krov.

Heard a lot of negatives about harper, but in the first half the few chances we created were from his clever turns.

Also from him stepping in and winning the ball back.

edited for you -

We lacked pace, and Philips did offer more than Harper when he came on. Shows you how Sawyers makes the team tick.

Roll on Tuesday.
