I was 21 - i actually had a ticket as a season ticket holder, but couldn't go. I was skint, couldn't afford to travel from Llandudno, and had to work a rare overtime opportunity that day - newly married, extra pay, and mouths to feed.
I was gutted. For not going, and the result . Reading threads on here about the day, I feel I feel slightly better. Derby however at Wembley years later have me a  flavour of the feeling ....

I was there. We just didn't turn up.
I remember the train journey back....like a morgue!
Two semi-final defeats that year!
